5 Summer Activities to Try in Toronto this Summer

FBI STYLE has given a lot of articles on different international locations to visit during the summer. However, if you choose to stay or visit Toronto, we couldn’t leave you without an article dedicated to fun activities to try in the city this summer. So we’ve rounded up five of them so you can have the best time while in town!

1- Skate through the sky

If you want to roller skate this summer, it turns out you can do it in multiple locations around Toronto. In order to do so, you can book in advance, including your size of skates, so you can just arrive at the spot and enjoy yourself! The price is about 18$ per hour for the skate rentals and you can “skate through the sky” in the new rooftop skate trail at CF Shops at Don Mills. You won’t want to miss this unique experience!

2- Go on a Harbourfront boat cruise

A very fun way to experience the waterfront is going on a boat cruise! The Toronto Harbour Tour is a 1-hour narrated tour that goes by the Toronto Harbour and Islands, stopping by the islands during the summer months. However, if you want a longer ride, you can go on the 2-hour tall ship boat cruise, which sails along the coastline, or the 3-hour buffett dinner cruise, which will have you enjoying the Toronto skyline while having dinner or a drink at the bar, and enjoying a DJ dancing the night away.

3- Wander around the Toronto islands

If you want to wander around the Toronto islands, but want to skip the cruise, you have this option as well! When going to the islands you can escape the city for a little bit without actually doing so, and you can explore them all day long! A few activities you can do on the islands are stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, having a picnic, and if you want more adventure, hop into the 3.5-hour bike tour!

4- Visit the Royal Ontario Museum

Because the museum is available for visiting all year round, technically this activity wouldn’t be considered a summer activity… if it wasn’t for the fact that the museum hosts dance parties every Friday night during the summer! So if you want something ordinary with a twist, that’s your go-to summer activity to try! Also, you can purchase skip-the-line tickets in advance just so you save up some time and don’t miss a second of a lovely summer day!

5- Christie Pits Film Festival

If you want a more chill activity with a summer touch, there’s nothing better than a lovely Sunday evening watching a movie in the park! You can go with friends, enjoy a fun date night or just spend some quality self-time. Either way, the festival goes on until August 28th and you still have time to enjoy some really good movies on a cozy night at the park this season! Check out the program here.

Toronto has many activities available during the summer. Whether you’re willing to pay a sum of money to enjoy yourself or you want to save up some money, you can guarantee you’ll always find a fun way to spend your summer days! We hope we were able to give you entertaining ideas of what to do in this last month of summer!
