A mere $150,000 USD package will include passports and citizenships for a four-person family, in exchange for “a real estate purchase of $200,000 USD that must be held for at least seven years,” says Business Insider.
Why so much for the Caribbean you ask? Well, according to Travel Pulse, the Caribbean has recently expanded its tourism offerings over the past few years. Several destinations have added new service, including increased flights to their upgraded airports, increasing accessibility for North Americans.
This all led to a boom in the Caribbean tourism industry, making it the hottest place to visit.
They say money can’t buy happiness, but apparently it can grant you the freedom to escape to paradise during a global pandemic. Close enough, right?
