Entertainment News Weekly Roundup: The Good, the Bad & Everything in Between

Sorry, it’s not Friday yet, but why wait until the end of the work week to gossip about our favourite (and least favourite) celebrities. Whether it’s good, bad or somewhere in between – because Wendy Williams’ mispronunciation of coronavirus last week is definitely somewhere in between – FBI STYLE has you covered. Here’s what’s been happening this week:

The Good

In case you’ve been living under a rock during the pandemic or living in a bubble (or rather outside of the bubble), the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship.

If you’re not a sports fan, how about some good ol’ fashioned pregnancy news?

Megan Trainor and Daryl Sabara are expecting their first child. Megan has been open about wanting a ton of children. The “All About That Bass” singer and Spy Kids star are all about the kids now.

Katherine McPhee and David Foster are also expecting their first child together. This is the 36-year-old American Idol alum’s first child, but Foster has five daughters from previous marriages. #GirlDad

If you‘re anything like me, we can agree that pregnancy news leaves us wanting more because now, we just have to sit and wait for the birth news, right?

Wrong! Mindy Kaling surprised us all with pregnancy and birth news, at the same time! The actress was on A Late Show with Stephen Colbert and surprised the world by announcing she had given birth to a baby boy on September 3, and his name is Spencer! How? When? Who? Well, I can’t really answer any of that because once again, she hasn’t revealed the baby daddy. P.S. we still don’t know the baby daddy of Katherine, her almost three-year-old daughter and quite frankly, I’m okay with that. Let Mindy live her private life. I will mention this though – Mindy did tell Stephen that the paparazzi caught her in all her pregnancy glory and even captured her on camera, but they weren’t confident enough to claim her being pregnant, which is a whole other conversation.

Drake’s son, Adonis, turned three and I don’t even want to write about it anymore because the picture is better than anything I could say.

The Bad

Shaquille O’Neal, the basketball legend, has admitted that he’s never voted. He’s out there advocating and taking a stance and encouraging others to vote and realized he too, should vote this year, for the first time. Excuse me if I come across as sounding somewhat sarcastic, but let’s just take into consideration that he didn’t vote during former President Barack Obama’s time, nor did he vote during 2016’s election between Clinton and Trump! I guess all that’s left to say is, better late than never.

Well, this story is more sad than bad – Tia and Tamera Mowry haven’t seen each other in over six months! When will this pandemic give us back some normalcy?! Tamera told Entertainment Tonight that this is the longest she’s ever gone without seeing her twin sister. My heart is breaking for the Sister, Sisters – never knew how much I missed you. See what I did there?

Everything in Between

Whether it’s true or not, it’s nice to feel like the royals are just everyday people like us, who get their hearts broken just like us. An excerpt from a new book (Battle of Brothers) mentions that Prince William once broke up with Kate Middleton over the phone. They’re both busy people, I’m sure. Regardless, it all worked out in the end and Prince George and his siblings got to ask David Attenborough some cool questions – ICYMI, check it out.

A couple months ago, Sesame Street released some informational segments for kids – one about COVID-19 and another about Black Lives Matter. Next up, Barbie is here to, at the very least, get a conversation started with kids about important topics. In her most recent vlog, she and her friend Nikki discuss racism and honestly, it gets pretty deep and interesting. But on a lighter note, there’s also a pretty epic rainbow makeup tutorial. Barbie is killing the vlog game.

My fashion friends, please tell me you know the pain of a pastie. Lizzo sure does. Imagine the pain she went through while pulling off a pastie that was covering her nipples, for TWO days. You don’t have to imagine, she filmed the awesomeness for us. I don’t wish that pain on my worst enemy (well, maybe I do). Don’t worry – she successfully and painfully, got it off in the end.

Entertainment news never sleeps – do celebrities even sleep? Who knows, but we’ll be ready and waiting for the next big thing – good, bad or whatever happens in between.
Did we miss anything big that recently happened? Want to talk about it as badly as we want to hear about it? Leave a comment or chat with us on Twitter or Instagram – we love to gossip!
