There was a lot of entertainment news this week, but there wasn’t much that needed heavy explaining. So, let me quickly break it down for you before getting into some longer stories.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their second child. Singer Meghan Trainor and Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara welcomed their baby boy into the world; his name is Riley. Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” is number one for the fifth week in a row on the Billboard Hot 100. Lenny Kravitz joined the cast of the action/comedy film Shotgun Wedding, also starting Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel. Kendall Jenner is launching her own tequila brand. Kourtney Kardashian went Instagram official with Travis Barker.
It is what it is and no further explanation is needed. However, there was some other entertainment news this week that we definitely need to discuss. Keep reading for all the juicy details of this week’s gossip – all the good, the bad and everything in between.
The Good
You may recall that last week we discussed Serena Williams being the GOAT of all GOATs. It seems that her husband Alexis Ohanian agrees and wants the rest of the world to know it’s true. I don’t have much more to say, other than I need that shirt!
So, I’m going to assume we’ve all heard about the Taylor Swift/Scooter Braun saga. Taylor has begun re-recording all of her previous albums that Scooter recently sold. She recently informed fans that her 2008 album Fearless will be re-released with six brand new songs. Swifties are obviously excited and love to see Taylor succeed, which prompted many to question if the re-release is eligible for Grammy Awards. The thought never even crossed my mind, but according to the Recording Academy, it’s totally valid and wouldn’t even be the first time it happened (Elton John did it). A spokesperson from the Grammys told Billboard the songs can be nominated for performance, but not songwriting. However, the newly released tracks on her album are eligible for songwriting awards. Take that, Scooter.
The Bad
This is good news for Lori Harvey and Lori Harvey alone. She and Michael B. Jordan celebrated their first Valentine’s Day together and OMG; she might just be the luckiest woman on earth. As if she wasn’t already, c’mon, she’s dating Michael B. Jordan – I don’t even feel comfortable calling him by just his first name. If you feel like being jealous for a few moments or making your Valentine’s Day seem lame, People has all the pictures Lori posted on her Instagram stories. Lori’s “baby” rented out an aquarium, surprised her with a six-course dinner from Nobu in an underwater tunnel, then took her home to what seemed like millions of roses. There’s more! After all of that, he gave her “the best gift ever” and you’re probably wondering how it could even get any better. He bought her stocks in Hermes. Well played, Michael B. Jordan/People‘s Sexiest Man Alive.
Everything in Between
Machine Gun Kelly wears a vial of his girlfriend Megan Fox’s blood around his neck. I guess that’s kind of romantic, if you like that type of romance. I don’t know about you, but my first thought was about the blood itself. How did they retrieve the blood – with a needle, a small cut, something else? Furthermore, how did it get in the vial? I’m not about to try experimenting, I just have so many questions. In other news, Megan posted some couple pictures on Instagram, accompanied by a poem(see below) for her “unusually handsome boy” on Valentine’s Day. It’s also pretty romantic, if you fancy that type of romance.
