Sephora Canada’s First-EVER Diwali Campaign – Featuring Canadian Influencers

‘Share the light’ with beauties Ankita Bhardwaj, Thanuska Subramaniam, and Neru Yasokumar.

Sephora Canada just launched its first ever campaign for Diwali last week, and we’re here for it.

The new marketing campaign is part of Sephora’s ‘We Belong to Something Beautiful’ series that debuted in 2019. It highlights clear messages of inclusivity, diversity and representation of “all communities shaping Canada […] to celebrate our differences”. 

Traditional  beauty goes hand-in-hand with the Hindu religious Festival of Lights that takes place every year in November over the course of five days. Diwali is the opportunity for Hindu women to wear bright and colorful clothing and to venture outside of the traditional red and gold color palette. Featured looks are giving us whimsical vibes while still maintaining some iconic features such as strong eyes and brows and a good red or nude lip.

Those looks are not only seen on two Canadian beauty influencers but also on one of the brand’s own beauty advisors at a Sephora store in Bramalea, Ontario.

With a strong emphasis on dewy shimmers and glowy skin this year, the campaign features top notch products from NARS Radiant longwear foundation and Hourglass compact shimmery powder to Huda Beauty’s Nude eyeshadow palette, and Fenty’s body highlighters. Add some mascara and brown pencils from Too Faced and Anastasia and you’ve got the perfect kit for a Diwali beauty lookbook.
